Established in 1846, Mahoning County encompasses approximately 425 square miles of land and water.
Once part of the region known as the “Rust Belt”, Mahoning County and its largest city and county seat, Youngstown, has reinvented itself as a hub for the arts, Fine Dining, and technology. Mahoning County is also the home of The Youngstown State University, The Butler Art Museum, The Arm’s Museum, and The DeYor Center for the Performing Arts, Stambaugh Auditorium, Youngstown Symphony, The Ballet, and much more.
The exciting Covelli Centre offers outstanding concerts including Elton John and is also the home of the Youngstown Phantom Hockey Team.
